Antique Silk Textile Tin Sin Laos STL22

From southern Laos, this silk textile is known as a tin sin and once adorned the bottom of a traditional tube skirt worn by the women of Laos. It is made of woven, hand spun cotton and embroidered with a traditional star motif in silk thread. This vintage textile is between 40-50 years old and has faded over time and there are some loose threads. It would make a charming runner or wall decoration. These old silks also lend themselves to being framed.
