Vintage Silk Textile Tin Sin STL08


From southern Laos, this hand woven textile referred to as tin sin once adorned the bottom of a traditional skirt worn by the women of Laos. It is made of woven, hand spun cotton and embroidered with a traditional silk motif. This vintage textile is about 50 years old and has faded over time.

The general condition of this antique silk textile is good with expected wear including some loose threads at the edge. It would make a charming runner or wall decoration. These old silks also lend themselves to being framed or used to make exotic cushion covers.
