This is a very rare weight Hintha bird weight from the period 1460 AD- 1563 AD. In fact, in more than 20 years collecting opium weights, this is the first of its kind that we have been able to offer to date. In Gears reference guide, this weight is classified as Group 5, Period K and is in excellent condition. This weight possesses the complex, slightly mottled, oxidized patina common to bronze weights that have endured many centuries of exposure to the elements. The weights feels smooth in the hand, with naturally worn extremities, and is a delight to look upon. A certificate of authenticity will be provided with this weight.
