Antique Buddhist Votive Plaque Framed ABA71

From Sukhothai, Thailand, this 19th century votive plaque depicts the Buddha in the standing position with his right hand in the gesture of reassurance, blessing, and protection known as the abhaya mudra. The plaque is composed of a metal alloy and has an attractively weathered patina. It is without cracks or repairs and has been framed for display. The photos don’t do this artwork justice due to the reflection on the UV resistant Plexiglas picked up by the camera.
