This large antique tribal silver pendant from the Hmong tribe of Laos is referred to as a soul lock pendant. Made of solid, high grade silver, this soul lock pendant is inscribed with a traditional Hmong design. The incised decoration has faded a little from wear. The pendant retains its original patina but could be polished to a high shine if desired. It has been mounted on a custom built stand for display.

The Hmong are an interesting mountain dwelling people found throughout SE Asia and southern China and are renowned for their silversmith skills and unique designs. They were the first hill tribe group to successfully cultivate opium.
