This antique Hmong silver hairpin is elegantly fashioned from solid high content silver and is in excellent condition.
In former times, the cultivation of opium poppies in their mountain home provided the income to purchase large quantities of silver to fashion into ornaments. Laos, along with Burma and Thailand made up the infamous Golden Triangle.
