Antique Hmong Silver / Teak Hairpin ETJ102


This antique hill tribe hairpin consists of a teakwood shaft, partially covered with sheet silver. The head of the hairpin is decorated with silver filigree common to Hmong pieces.

The Hmong are renowned for their love of silver and enviable silversmith skills, producing well crafted jewellery with unique designs. Authentic antique Hmong jewellery is very hard to come by nowadays. Antique Hmong silver jewellery is noticeably superior to recently made pieces.
