Antique Tribal Silver Bracelet ETJ79

$455.00

This antique tribal silver bracelet is known as a ‘dragon-bracelet’ and is highly prized by the Akha. Hollow silver bracelets with a great variety of designs were mostly made by the Shan and worn and treasured by the men of the Lahu and Akha minority hill tribe groups of Southeast Asia.

The bracelet is made from high grade silver (about 92%) often obtained in the 19th century from melted down French silver coins. The silver has an attractive aged patina but could be polished to a high shine.
