This antique silver bracelet was made by the Hmong, a hill tribe people of Southeast Asia known for their love of silver and considerable skills in producing silver ornamentation with unique designs and richly aesthetic. This bracelet is in a split band design, with a simple incised decoration. It is made of solid high grade silver, weighing 65g / 2.3 oz, and is in fine condition with a lovely patina.

It is quite a challenge to find genuine antique Hmong pieces like this. Today, without the opium revenues of times past, the Hmong often use inferior alloys instead of silver to make jewellery.
