From Laos, this tribal silver neck band or torque was made by the Hmong, a fiercely independent hill tribe people found throughout SE Asia and Southern China. The double band is hollow with decoration on the turned ends of the bands.

This antique Hmong torque retains its aged patina but if desired could be polished to a high shine. Pieces such as this rarely become available nowadays.
